What is Bonded Leather

Bonded Leather, is a man-made hide which is made of the hardest back of the oxhide, mixed with polyester, cotton, and polypropylene, via complicated process including heating, dissolving and solidifing.
It is usually very thick and stiff, with no grains or lines. It has to be cut or sewed by particular machines.

What is the difference between Bonded Leather and PU Leather

Bonded Leather, though literally is an artificial leather, but strictly speaking, it is not regular leather used to make accessories for furniture, it can only be used as an independant part of furniture.
For regular artificial leather, it is just 1mm-2mm thick, and usually it must be covered on the sponge or wrapped with sponge inside.
But for Bonded Leather, it can be more than 2-5mm thick, and it can be used to make the seat or arms without any other accessories.

Bonded Leather, is much easier processed than other artificial leather.
For other artificial leather, it must be processed via heat, gluing, and lamination.
But Bonded leather is One-piece formed just as rubber. So Bonded leather is not widely used as other leather type.
Thus we only have some regular colors as below. But we can also customize any color upon the requests.
